What Happens when I plan my friends Baby Sprinkle

March 23, 2017

This past weekend I had the honor of co-hosting a Baby Sprinkle for a dear friend of mine! I had so much fun designing a ladies only luncheon in honor of the mama-to-be and her second bundle of joy, baby Jordan! If you don’t know what a Baby Sprinkle is, it’s a celebration for your second baby where you are only sprinkled with gifts, instead of showered.  You are expected to bring the mother, the essentials: diapers, onesies, blankets, bottles and other things of that nature.

I knew the new baby’s nursery was going to be blue and I wanted to add elements into the design that also doubled as gifts she could take home and decorate with. We used a mix of frames for telling the guest what the cocktail menu was, how to sign the guest book, and to take home the “sprinkle” cupcake as the favor.

For the color palette we used different shades of blue.  We incorporated different textures with the linens from La Tavola Fine Lines and used a luxurious blue velvet linen for the buffet table. The velvet line is my favorite lines to use from La Tavola.  The mixing of the textures allowed for the party to be soft enough for the momma-to-be but masculine enough to celebrate a baby boy!

My favorite part was the cocktail menu! I love coming up with drink names that go with the theme of the party.  We had the “Mama Mojito,” “Hello World Mimosa” and the “Ready to Pop Punch!” I believe the little details is what really makes the party.

The Sprinkle was fun for all, and we had the perfect weather! If you’re looking for more tips on planning a sprinkle email us at info@victoriaannevents.com we love to celebrate every moment!

BEHIND THE Wedding

MEET Victoria

Growing up, my mother had a dinner party for just about everything. She would make name cards, put out her best china, let me help her pick flowers, and always cook something spectacular. She taught me, “Presentation is everything.” Long-story-short, the attention to detail, organization and joy that give me my knack for event-planning are in my blood (because truly, I got it from my Mama). My whole life I’ve had a passion for all the elements that make events experiences. Beyond that, I’ve always been told that I throw a really effing fun party, so I decided to leave my career in hospitality and pursue event-planning for real.

What I’m told draws many of my clients to me is my eye for the details, understanding of who they are, and calm attitude even when things get crazy. What keeps me so fulfilled is my relationships with my clients themselves. Nothing makes me happier than working with a couple to make a vision come to life and genuinely having fun all along the way.

Thanks for learning a little bit about me; I look forward to learning a little bit about you!
