Wedding Planner, Three Reasons You Need One!

March 29, 2017

Anytime I sit down with a couple its inevitable one of them knows why they need me and one thinks they can do this planning “thing” themselves. But the fact of the matter is, planning a wedding is a full time Job, no joke! But why do you really need a wedding planner is simple to answer. A professional wedding planner will source and facilitate the perfect vendors, handle the logistics and bring your dream wedding to life!

I get it, it’s easy to pick a venue, sign a contract, pick a florist, book a church, and find your dress and tuxedo.  But when you start to get into the planning lost of small details come up, that you probably have no experience handling.  Having a professional to answer your questions, giving you expert advice, and fending off the million and one opinions on your wedding, gives you the luxury to enjoy your wedding day and the planning process.

In the next three Blog Posts, I am going to break down the top reasons a wedding planner is a good investment to have by your side, but today we are going to talk about the #1 reason you want a wedding planner, and that’s the Budget!

The Budget is the one part of planning that dictates everything on your wedding day.  I always like to meet my clients in the beginning of the planning process so I can really fine tune the budget with them.  When you hire a professional wedding planner they can help you break down all of your needs and wants and allocate how much you should be spending in each area for the overall budget of the day.

Having a wedding planner facilitate the budget can also help you when paying invoices. With so many moving parts it is easy to forget to make a payment.  I love to use Aisle Planner to keep my clients on track with all of the upcoming invoices. Your planner can also help to space out your payments so you’re not paying everything at once which can be very helpful.

Your wedding planner will also work on your budget with you.  You’ll have real expertise in how much elements of your wedding costs. They will also customize a list of vendors that will fit into your overall budget. Vendors such as, flowers, photography, DJ or Band can differ depending on the style and needs of your wedding day.  I can’t tell you how many times my partial clients will realize they need me at the middle of the wedding planning process and have blown half the budget on frivolous things that could have been avoided.

Overall a wedding planner just to help you budget creation is a huge stress reliever! With that being said every wedding will have it’s stressful moments, but it’s nice to know you have someone who can answer questions, give expert advice, and relieve the major responsibility’s of planning!

Come back to see part two of why you need a wedding planner, we are going to talk about Negotiation! If your convinced you need a planner after reading this, email us info@victoriaannevents.com we would love to create your dream wedding!

BEHIND THE Wedding

MEET Victoria

Growing up, my mother had a dinner party for just about everything. She would make name cards, put out her best china, let me help her pick flowers, and always cook something spectacular. She taught me, “Presentation is everything.” Long-story-short, the attention to detail, organization and joy that give me my knack for event-planning are in my blood (because truly, I got it from my Mama). My whole life I’ve had a passion for all the elements that make events experiences. Beyond that, I’ve always been told that I throw a really effing fun party, so I decided to leave my career in hospitality and pursue event-planning for real.

What I’m told draws many of my clients to me is my eye for the details, understanding of who they are, and calm attitude even when things get crazy. What keeps me so fulfilled is my relationships with my clients themselves. Nothing makes me happier than working with a couple to make a vision come to life and genuinely having fun all along the way.

Thanks for learning a little bit about me; I look forward to learning a little bit about you!
