If your blog post's featured images are fairly low resolution, you may want to delete the top image canvas. Your blog will still look gorgeous, but the top banner section looks best when you upload an image that's 2500px on the long side. You can also use our fave TinyJpeg to make them small so your blog posts still load quickly!

Super Bowl Party Ideas

February 4, 2017

Super Bowl, an American Tradition, and an excuse for me to have another party! I love finding fun and easy ways to dress up my buffets at our annual super bowl party. This year I thought why not share some of the fun with you! These are really simple and easy ideas, but they pack a punch when your guests arrive.

This year all of the fake grass that I have been seeing everywhere was my inspiration for the buffet! I love the modern and clean lines these faux grass come in. I knew right away they were going to be added in some way to jazz the table up. I got these from Michaels, but you can find faux grass anywhere in a cool container.

The second element I always love to incorporate are footballs! I think it just makes the buffet table fun. It’s also a great party favor for our little guests.  These footballs actually came from the dollar store and were perfect because they have flat bottoms! I then stuck a mini football into the grass to make a focal point.

The third fool proof party decoration is balloons! But this year instead of having traditional helium balloons, I decided to use it in the decoration as a focal point for the backdrop. I went with black and white balloons to represent the referee colors.

To display your super bowl snacks, I suggest bowls of all sizes and shapes! This adds a little dimension to the table. Don’t be sacred to try different types of bowls too. I love an eclectic buffet table and your guests will too!

Lastly, I love to use my cake stands. You can be creative with cake stands, don’t think they can only be used for cake! . They would be great to hold hot dogs in buns. I used my cake stand for the cupcakes.

Have fun with your buffet this year, you never know what you might turn it into! We would love to see your buffest, so tag us on Instagram @VictoriaAnnEvents.

BEHIND THE Wedding

MEET Victoria

Growing up, my mother had a dinner party for just about everything. She would make name cards, put out her best china, let me help her pick flowers, and always cook something spectacular. She taught me, “Presentation is everything.” Long-story-short, the attention to detail, organization and joy that give me my knack for event-planning are in my blood (because truly, I got it from my Mama). My whole life I’ve had a passion for all the elements that make events experiences. Beyond that, I’ve always been told that I throw a really effing fun party, so I decided to leave my career in hospitality and pursue event-planning for real.

What I’m told draws many of my clients to me is my eye for the details, understanding of who they are, and calm attitude even when things get crazy. What keeps me so fulfilled is my relationships with my clients themselves. Nothing makes me happier than working with a couple to make a vision come to life and genuinely having fun all along the way.

Thanks for learning a little bit about me; I look forward to learning a little bit about you!
