Adriana and Dinos classic intimate wedding at the Langham Huntington Pasadena, was filled with as much love as it was with details. When the Bride, Adriana, reached out to me, I knew I needed to be a part of their special wedding day.

Adriana and Dino met in England, and when it was time to propose, they returned back to London.  On the last night of the trip Dino proposed! Adriana is from Pasadena, California,  while Dino is from Greece, and it was important to both of them to infuse the wedding with both of their cultures and to also honor London, as that’s the city they met, fell in love, and got engaged!

Adriana picked the Langham Huntington Pasadena as the wedding venue because it held special meaning to her childhood.  Being a native of Pasadena, she had fond memories of  visiting the hotel for special occasions, holidays, and many brunches with her parents.

Dino bening Greek had to apply for a Visa to come over to the US, and marry Adriana.  The process that they thought would only take a few short months, ending up being  the longest and most stressful process of life. But despite the ups and downs of filing paperwork, Adriana wanted to move on with the planning and have everything ready in the hopes that he would get his approval and be able to finally join her in California on their wedding date!!

Fast forward a few more months, we knew Dion’s approval was going to come through and he would probably arrive in the US just weeks, maybe days, before the wedding date.  We had a little over a month to pull the trigger on all the wedding vendors, order custom items and come up with this jaw dropping design that was strongly influenced by the Brides personal style while also keeping it festive for the Holidays.  With my dream team in toe of Sanaz Riggo, of Sanaz Photography, Jimmy Hartman, of In Blume, Domonique Alba, of Domonique Alba, La Tavola Linens, Dish Wish , Soiree8, and Theoni Collection we were ready to go!

Adriana and Dinos Wedding day was magical, they married in a small ceremony in one of the petit ballrooms at the Langham Huntington Pasadena,  performed by Presiding Judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, Honorable Kevin Brazile. Adraina Walked down the aisle to the sound of Subito Strings, and there wasn’t one dry eye.  After the I do’s and tear jerking vows, Adriana and Dino sealed their Wedding with a Kiss and guests were ushered to one of my favorite parts of the wedding!

Early on in conversations with Sanaz, of Sanaz Photography, Adriana mentioned because she was having an intimate wedding, she wanted to have a break between cocktail hour to take portraits with all of the guests! Honestly I thought it was the sweetest idea. So after the ceremony we rounded up all the guests in front of the Iconic Huntington Pasadena Christmas Tree and were able to capture this special moment with Adriana and Dino and all of their guests.

We then moved on to cocktails, which featured a signature cocktail inspired by the hotel where the couple were engaged (Mondrian London, which now goes by Sea Containers London), and custom linen cocktail napkins. Passed hors d’oeuvres were served and then we opened the doors to dinner.

The guests were then moved into anothe petite ballroom at The Langham Passadan. We set one long kings table draped in Swiss Dot linens called the Chelsea from La Tavola Fine Linens and Olive Green Velvet napkins in Fern, also from La Tavola with a cream bow touch.  The long king table was set with the most beautiful etched crystal from Dish Wish Girl and ribbed glass chargers with a gold rim from Soiree8.  As the guest dined while Subito Strings Played and I can tell you it felt like we went back in time!

Once Dinner was over and the beautiful cake was cut, inspired by a classic design by Sylvia Weinstock, but created by the pastry team at the Langham, the Bride and Groom were sent off with celebrations of crackers England, and macaroon trees from Laduree

To Adriana + Dino, thank you for trusting me to bring your wedding day to the finish line! It was an honor to watch you both all night reveling in the excitement of it all.  I was so lucky to have my A team with me to make the day not only perfect but also amazingly stunning!

XO,

Victoria

BEHIND THE Wedding

MEET Victoria

Growing up, my mother had a dinner party for just about everything. She would make name cards, put out her best china, let me help her pick flowers, and always cook something spectacular. She taught me, “Presentation is everything.” Long-story-short, the attention to detail, organization and joy that give me my knack for event-planning are in my blood (because truly, I got it from my Mama). My whole life I’ve had a passion for all the elements that make events experiences. Beyond that, I’ve always been told that I throw a really effing fun party, so I decided to leave my career in hospitality and pursue event-planning for real.

What I’m told draws many of my clients to me is my eye for the details, understanding of who they are, and calm attitude even when things get crazy. What keeps me so fulfilled is my relationships with my clients themselves. Nothing makes me happier than working with a couple to make a vision come to life and genuinely having fun all along the way.

Thanks for learning a little bit about me; I look forward to learning a little bit about you!
