If your blog post's featured images are fairly low resolution, you may want to delete the top image canvas. Your blog will still look gorgeous, but the top banner section looks best when you upload an image that's 2500px on the long side. You can also use our fave TinyJpeg to make them small so your blog posts still load quickly!

A Year in Review: 2018

January 2, 2019

Well well well, 2019! How are youuuu doin? I can’t believe 2018 is over, and a new year is here! I still remember the first day of 2018 and thinking how I was so excited for what was in store, but also petrified of the results. Self-doubt and fear are a crazy thing, but I told myself last year I was going to throw fear out the window and GO FOR IT! That’s just what I did, and the rewards of last year have shown me that ignoring that voice that says no, don’t do it, was the best thing that could have happened! Don’t get me wrong, sometimes it creeps up and I still have weird nightmares before every Wedding, or after, the most recent one was after our last Wedding of the year, I dreamt I missed the wedding! It was so real I woke up and looked on my phone to make sure that I had indeed made the Wedding! LOL But for the most part I am proud of myself for my GO FOR IT attitude, and not care what people think or say! (within reason)

This year VAE made lots of strides! I worked with the kindest and most amazing couples. I hosted Engaged The Wedding, Workshop.. stay tuned we are doing another one! We planned Weddings in Virginia Beach, San Francisco, & Los Angeles and parties in Miami! We worked at couples private homes (which has become one of my favorite types of weddings now).

I got really creative with ceremony seating for three of my couples and had a blast dreaming up design ideas. I revamped our design proposals and I LOVE THEM. Went to LVL Academy and had a BALL!! Learned more about Illustrator & Pages.

Worked with the best of the best in the creative industry in the wedding and fabrication industry. Covered cars with balloons thanks to Nikki and her amazing team at Poplar & Pine), and mama (Migos voice) we made it into VOUGE! Flew over 120,000 miles, went to Paris twice, London, and the Bahamas. I would say the only way the only way is UP for 2019

For 2019 my goals are simple. Work hard, be kind, have fun, and enjoy the ride and don’t stop dreaming!! What are your goals?

BEHIND THE Wedding

MEET Victoria

Growing up, my mother had a dinner party for just about everything. She would make name cards, put out her best china, let me help her pick flowers, and always cook something spectacular. She taught me, “Presentation is everything.” Long-story-short, the attention to detail, organization and joy that give me my knack for event-planning are in my blood (because truly, I got it from my Mama). My whole life I’ve had a passion for all the elements that make events experiences. Beyond that, I’ve always been told that I throw a really effing fun party, so I decided to leave my career in hospitality and pursue event-planning for real.

What I’m told draws many of my clients to me is my eye for the details, understanding of who they are, and calm attitude even when things get crazy. What keeps me so fulfilled is my relationships with my clients themselves. Nothing makes me happier than working with a couple to make a vision come to life and genuinely having fun all along the way.

Thanks for learning a little bit about me; I look forward to learning a little bit about you!
