DAY 9: BOOK YOUR WEDDING PLANNER
Ok here it goes, you knew it was coming, the shameless plug! Pick a wedding planner! Obviously, I am partial to having a planner, and whatever that looks like for you is up to you, but having someone to run your day and lead you through the wedding planning is essential to making sure your Wedding Day runs smoothly! There are a few options for the kind of planer you can hire for your Wedding Day. I created a list of 3 services commonly offered by Wedding Planners that will make finding the perfect person for your Wedding Day easy peazy! If you need more help deciding on what kind of Wedding Planner you need, feel free to reach out to me! I love talking Weddings, and I promise I will lead you in the right direction for your needs and expectations.
- Full Service Wedding Planning: This is the service we provide at Victoria Ann Events. We are with you from beginning to end, (literally)! We not only thoughtfully design and produce your wedding day with you, but we make sure every step of planning and execution of your day is seamless. Full service includes, but is not limited to, researching and securing venues, organization of guest list and creation of Wedding Budget, creative direction, and execution of the design, logistical planning, vendor coordination and negotiation of vendor contracts, clean-up and wrap up of your wedding day, plus much much more! You can read one of our other blog posts on why a Full Service Planner is so important here.
- Partial Planning: This is also a service we offer, everyone is different with what they offer with Partial Planning, but our partial planning usually starts after the couple has secured their wedding venue. Partial Planning is for the couple who wants guidance on designing the Wedding day and are looking for the right person to pull all of the details together and incorporate the decisions that have already been made.
- Wedding Management: This year we stopped offering this service, so we could focus solely on our Partial and Full Service clients and give them the best customer service and attention to detail possible on their big day. But lots of Wedding Planner still do offer this service! Typically Wedding Management starts 60 days out from your wedding day and the planner will tie up any last details, take over the coordination of the vendors you have already booked and be there the day of! This is a great option if you don’t have the budget for a full service or partial planner, and is great for the couple who is organized and has the time to plan a wedding day.
Whichever category you fall into, make sure you do your research and hire a planner that you connect with. You will be with this person for sometimes a year or more depending on which option you go with. Also don’t wait until the last second to book your wedding planner even if you decided on Wedding Management. Most Planners book out a year in advance of the date, and even if you go with Wedding Management, they might offer planning tools you can use right away!
